Are the 3D model files and textures the same of the original Xbox game or did you converted them for more known file formats? It would be pretty cool to make a few mods for it once it's released. The file formats are mostly the same (for the cities they are the same, cars textures have been convert...

Actually it has, but indeed it's much higher. (20GB per day for free accounts, as specified here) Probably I'll upload there future files.
EDIT: Anyway, I reuploaded the data folder here.

I found the problem: the monthly bandwith limit of 10GB on my Box account has been reached. I'll upload the build elsewhere.
EDIT: here is the build 3. I'll re-upload also the Data folder.

I just made a build in which you can drive cars. Cars are still in a very preliminary stage (no sound yet, as I have to decode the cars' sound script file, and the handling is not yet the same as the original MM3 one, also there are some shader bugs). You can download the build here. (Requires "...

OK, the city collision detection problem is practically solved (Using the visual meshes as colliders works fine in Unity, even if it maybe is not how it worked in MM3), but there is another problem now: implementing proper vehicle physics is not a walk in the park, especially with the new wheel coll...

Build 2 is now available. I made some fixes to the city loader (missing and messed up buildings are now fixed, and roads are placed properly) and added a simple loading screen at city loading. The download link is in the first post.

With "source code" I meant the code of the scripts regulating the logic of career missions, races, cruise mode and such, not the entire source code of the game.

Well, someone a long time ago made this track, a 900 km square, but after some (I don't remember how many) kilometers the lighting stops working correctly, so yes, extremely big maps are theoretically possible, but not practical after a certain size.

"Unofficial" simply means that this porting to PC is not made by Microsoft/DICE, the resources (cars, cities, sounds, menus, etc.) will be the original ones. The game logic will also be the same, since it was written in lua scripts, so the source code is available on the Xbox game disc (lu...

I know, it's not just one building, it's several buildings, some are messed up and some are missing some polygons (I have to figure out their specific primitive type). Also, some textures are not what should appear ingame (water for example, since it uses a special shader).

I think someone from MM2C forums has ripped the MM3 cars
That someone is Yallis, he posted his findings here. I also made a vehicle viewer for MM3 cars (along with a city viewer), the program and the source code are available here.

Midtown Madness 3: Unofficial PC porting project

Edit (July 23, 2017): The project is currently inactive, I will upload the Unity project when documentation and refactoring are finished. Long story made short: Yallis posted on MM2C his reverse-engineering of the MM3 cars format, I wanted to go further: I begun reverse-engineering also the cities ...

The only solution then is installing Windows 7 in a virtual machine (only VMWare works decently), see here how to do it.
