2004 Opel Astra GTC

Postby Franch88 » Tue Jan 29, 2008 11:32 pm

Hi again to all forum. :)

This is my fourth public conversion. I've received the permission by the author of this car to do the conversion for Midtown Madness 2. The car is the 2004 Opel Astra GTC, like the title said, made by toooomas for GTA San Andreas. This is the image of the GTA SA model:

Soon I'll post some in-game pictures of it and all car's features. Stay tuned. :D

Sounds good. Um, one thing though, I didn't know there was a desert in SA. :?

LOL, maybe a mod? :P Hum, Opel Astra 2004. I'm not really attached to those Astras, but they're okay. :)

First news. Let's do a stock of the situation after some days of work and preparating from the beginning.

Things done:
1. Created the folders structure;
2. Started the preparation of the 3D car model for MM2 with the detachable parts and the driver in ZModeler;
3. Found the nine colors and names in the Opel Astra official website;
4. Made the other paintjob textures;
6. Made the damages file and a first version of the car tuning;
7. Created a first version of the Readme file.

1. Finish the preparation of the 3D car model for MM2 in ZModeler;
2. Do the dashboard with the two versions;

4. Select the sounds to use for engine and horn;
5. Adjust the car tuning files;
6. End the Readme file.

And these are the 2004 Opel Astra GTC conversion features.

Ooh, I want to see the in-game pics, and decide how I like them. Not bad. You have a good start on your conversion.

This is the actual stock of the situation.
I'm finishing the new plates, I'll obscure the rear windows and I'll improve the tuning and the car handling. :)

Things done:
1. Created the folders structure;
2. Made the 3D car model for MM2 with the detachable parts and the driver in ZModeler;
3. Found the nine colors and names in the Opel Astra official website;
4. Made the other paintjob textures;
5. Selected the sounds to use for engine and horn;

2. Do the vehicle showcase;
3. Adjust the car tuning files;
4. End the Readme file.

Nice. I'm starting to actually like this car now. :)
~I can always tell the car's yours by the size of the driver. :wink:

Third news. The stock of the situation is still the same.
I'm still finishing the new plates and I'm making a new tuning with a realistic handling. :)
I've improved the front and rear lights: now they are more similar to the original ones.
I can always tell the car's yours by the size of the driver. :wink:
LOL! The driver is the same of the Dacia Logan, and in its sizes. ;) Their are similar to the MM2 pedestrians.
He isn't well placed on the seat because the streering wheel is a bit towards the center of the 3D model dashboard.
Forza Prato 8)

Nice work in progress, good luck for the next.
Thanks Riva. :D What means "Forza Prato"? :roll:

Soon the in-game pictures and the release date. Stay tuned. :D

Yeah, the Opel/Vauxhall and Saturn share some car models. They're all in GM.

:arrow:
Ah, ok. :) :oops: Yes, PO it's for Prato province, but its license plates are totally random, no reference to the real ones (however the license codes are real). :wink:
I'm using the ones that I found.
