Yearly MM1 and MM2 Multiplayer Competition :arrow:

Since multiplayer activity of MM2 is getting lower and of MM1 is dead, I've decided this competition. There can be total 8 players player at a single time. So, 3 top members from MM1 and MM2 SotY will get an entry. They other two will be: Me, and anyone else who wants to come. The award will be probably Best MM1 Racer of the Year and Best MM2 Racer of the Year in MM2x awards (But that is upon DjDecibel.). There will be 8 races of three types:
Checkpoint (Includes checkpoint and blitz races)
Circuit
Random (Random race in cruise mode)

There may be a different CnR competition if wanted.

The main problem is that I may not come in the races if people want the time in which I have to race at 24:00.

I'd play MM2 online but I don't have too much time to play it also I dunno if the races are really fair for such competition since some users might be faster due to the connection/internet differences

Sure I'm in haha. I've started playing some MM1 as to finally finish the game.
I'll research how to get online working, never tried anything other than LAN for Midtown Madness.

Tomorrow is the day of competition, if I get even a single person then I will myself race him in a single checkpoint race. And then the other one will race me in any race of his choice. About cars, that will be decided later.
Then there may be destroying each others vehicles, I am going to go use that one's roller. (Everyone knows whose road roller.)

Prize will be probably..... Secret.

How do you do multiplayer stuff in MM2 nowadays? I've not used it for ages...

I have the following in the multiplayer section of the game: MSN Gaming Zone, which I suppose is dead, IPX (in grey, cannot be used), TCP/IP, Serial cable and Modem (in grey).
I suppose it's TCP/IP, as serial cable would mean being in the same room.
