Re: Finally got access to my old files
Jeremiah: I checked out their cars. I see what you mean. Seeing those, I'm gonna have to leave off some of my worser models now, heh.
Seahawk: I sent you a pm yesterday, but it is still in my outbox, I don't know if it's gonna go through. Anyways, check out gtaforums.com, the guys there will surely help you with your needs I know nothing of gta modding, I've just set the cars up gta style and have someone else put them in game for me.
Speaking of gta cars, thought I'd share my models that are for that game.
Some of these have been released for GTA over a decade ago. Most haven't. Shout-out to Mindf*ck for the Hummer model that I made textures and wheels for and for getting the ones that have been released ingame.
Now, with this post, thats most of my cars. I still left off alot and there is still some newer models that i have done that I don't have pics of that may be on another flash drive of mine.
I have around 350 models totalling over 6,000,000 polys. I know I've posted alot of pics, but I know I haven't posted pics of 350 models

Re: Finally got access to my old files
Again impressive models. I remember some of these images from MM2C forum, like that Fiat 500, where you've posted them more than 10 years ago. There are also some cars that I've converted for MM2, like the Nissan Murano.
No problem, it's indeed better have all these new images in the second page.Edit: didn't want these at bottom of page
Sorry, Franch.

Re: Finally got access to my old files
Few years ago, I ported cars to MM1 via VCK. don't remember how to get damage textures working right or colors though but at some point, I wouldn't mind looking back at it. I remember VCK did not work well on Win7 and above, but I still got my XP and 98 computers kicking around with VCK.
Retired from modifying Midtown Madness games. Nowadays I mod Crashday Redline Edition in my spare time.
Re: Finally got access to my old files
Thanks
Yeah, I remember seeing that Murano. It's been converted to many games. I know someone put it in The Sims 2 a while pack.
I found this video in my pics folder. It is the very first time I animated something, so keep that in mind. It also doesn't have any sound. From 2007-2008 when I was going to school for graphic arts.

Re: Finally got access to my old files
That's incredibly fantastic for your first animation You learned fast.
Dubai = Supercarland
When it comes to normal street driving, any car is as good as good as any other. Only the racetrack can truly separate the cars' abilities.

Re: Finally got access to my old files
Thanks, y'all.
Oh, and check this out.
Those are all my 3D models in the video.
Here is a couple more I found pics of.
I'm hoping I'll get access to a more recent backup file to get more pics and I'll zip up all the 3D models then as well.

Re: Finally got access to my old files
Well, making some progress. Here are two completed cars for mm1. Both have multiple colors, damage, unique sounds and tuning, other tidbits.

Can't edit my post...
Want to add that the Chevelle was done in 2002, the Charger and General Lee was done in 2003.

Re: Finally got access to my old files
That's very cool that you managed to preserve your old models. I started learning modeling around 2005-2006, when I got my first computer. Might rummage through the stack of old burnt cd's and try to find my first models. They are garbage though.
Re: Finally got access to my old files
Finally, getting back to it. Sorting through my files and getting situated. Here are a few things I haven't posted before. A couple cars I did post earlier, but only had 1 pic or so.
This has 11 different wheels total.
This wasn't finished when I made my last backup. It did get finished, but that is lost. Fortunately, it doesn't require much to refinish it. Just gotta do some interior tex and finish texturing the blue parts and parts of the front trim.
I edited materials to make it look more finished. I havent done any more texture work on it.
This was any overlay model for a Land Rover Evoque. Used for an AR app to tell which part of the real car you were pressing on in the app. It didn't need textures or normals done. I am planning to do the normals and slap some tex on it to complete it.
Other random models;

Re: Finally got access to my old files
Weird glitch where I have to make a new post, in order for me to be able to edit my previous post.
Re: Finally got access to my old files
ITN_Tuning; yeah, I think since 1999 and around 350 models, I've only lost one real one. And I don't even remember it. Just, I list my models so meticulously, I have it in my car list text file of what it was, how completed it was, and when it was lost. Heh
It'd be interesting to see your older models, compare then to that new TT you finished It's fun for me to go back and look at my old models. Two reasons, now. One being; I got kids older now than I was when I made alot of those old models I got backed up.
