If the boat capsized quickly, it can cover the five men under the boat and pressed them down to the bottom of the lake (the men were under the boat, so it covered them), because in the boat there is an air bubble and they won't get wet.

when i read the riddle i came to post what silent1 onkown posted. lol:lol:
If silent1 onkown is wrong then they did not get wet they got muddy
right the bottom of a lake is muddy !

no they were not wearing water proof clothing, and you can still be wet and muddy at the same time.

im quite surprised that no1 has got it yet.

None of them got wet they got soaked! because if they went clear to the bottom they must be mighty wet!:?
Or they did not get wet they died insted.

Is the material in the lake something that isn't liquid? So they can't get wet.

if they all got wet then the riddles says they don't get wet so its just a lye riddle.
