Good luck, Silent. Hope you can get this sorted out and get the files back ;)
I'd be more concerned about my personal files like pictures and documents, I'd much rather be able to get those back. So let's hope the USB hard drive case works out :)

News on the old HDD...little progress so far. I gave to a friend to access. He was able to get into the secondary partition (D: drive), but the access to C: drive was denied. Apparently the security is so high, it wont even display the disk size.

Anyway, I will continue with the Fiat 500 (luckily I made backup before computer failure).

Also, a fun and low-poly project in progress:

Its the Mustang from the movie Death Race. In the movie, the car features:
-NOS
-Machine guns
-Tombstone (heavy shield at the back that falls off)
-Oil
-Smoke
-Napalm

I'll try to bring a lot of that to MM2, but likely only NOS, Tombstone and smoke will be possible to do.

Machine guns can be introduced by placing (orange and yellow) sirens there and changing the siren sound to firing-ammunition sound, but all other cops will be affected by this.

I pretty like that Mustang, sounds funny. Maybe make the machine-guns as a separate *.ar file, so if somebody doesn't want that it affects the other cops. :wink:

IMO machine guns so far are most detailed than the body (I mean about polys) :D

Yea, thats the car. I used that picture as most of my reference.

As you can see, the car in reality is a low-poly one, so it doesnt make sense to add more unnecessary polies in my model. Most of it will be texture work, except areas that need polies, such as the cylindrical machine guns. I wanna keep it under 5k.

What do you think, is it a good idea to turn the machine guns into extra wheel objects with rotated axes, so they spin when the car is being driven? They could also be the HUB objects brian was talking about.
