Are you trying to access a computer on your network or one over the internet?

Over the internet, well... I think it can be a port problem, which port mm2 uses?

You don't need to connect to a port to play a game. There's one more variable - who's hosting: you, or another person?

Then ask them to go to https://www.whatismyip.com, and tell them to give you the number that appears on that page. Input that number into MM2 in multiplayer mode when it asks for a host, and then it should work.
