As far as I know, the traffic on Madness City 4 only drives off-road on one road, where there is also a geometry problem. That's all I found when I was driving on it back when it was released, and that's good.

I think it just happens when things aren't made right in the city. Like road angles, sidewalk heights, etc. I have never been able to make a track with flawless traffic.

Nope. That happens when MM2ct doesnt have enough vertices to calculate the traffic on. I make my tracks high poly so that traffic goes perfectly. ;)

But Maxoff's Simple city has low poly roads and the traffic is perfect.

Madness City 4 hasn't many problems with traffic like other cities made with MM2 City Toolkit program. If you don't know, that city isn't made with the Maxoff's tool, because it didn't existed (MadnessMan said that with that tool the things are easier indeed, without do many in-game tests after a change). That can also depend by how roads and intersections are made. HummersRock is right too.
The problem with the traffic that goes off the roads is essentially given by roads with few splits; once I did a try and splitting in many parts the roads objects, so they have more polygons, the traffic drives more on the road.
However, make cities like SF and London, the defaut game ones, isn't possible with the MM2 City Toolkit, checking their PSDL terrains is well seen many differences. Maybe with PSDL Viewer is possible get similar results.
