New Project : Volkswagen Race Touareg II - From DiRT3

The model was ripped by Sajmon, but those body parts position still messed up. I moved them into the right position like Sajmon said. Its not easy, because there's a lot of wheel's parts. I'm a bit confused while placing them into right position.

The car has around 30k polys without driver. Here is the preview in Zmodeler:

Things to do : Make dashboard, find and placing the driver, improve tuning (rally style), and sound.

Indeed. The details, parts, and the texture quiet amazing. :) I have the lancer too, and those parts already in right position from Sajmon. :) I'll do the rest later.

I mixed both. I use the high one for the body and the tires, then I use the lower for the rest. :)

Don't really care for the car, although you've done good work with it, and COOL screen shots!

Quality is ok, but I think you could use real names of paints if it won't be too long, not just numbers(I can list them for you if want)

Yeah, I thought about it also. But, I don't know the "name" for each liveries, so I named them all with "numbers", lol ...

Ok, you can list them here. :)

Thanks mate. :)

I think the suspension isn't quiet like IRL. But, I'm still working on it to make the car as realistic as rally cars. Because, I've played the DiRT2, and I know how the car's behavior in game. The handling, the slippery, the brakes, the suspension, they're works very smooth in game.

Here if someone wants to try the beta:

https://www.mediafire.com/?3xbjsbebq6a25j8

Still to make vehicle showcase, driver, dashboard, sounds, improves the tuning, and entire rest.

Tell me your opinion about this beta.

wow i just tried it , more awesome then i thought :D the only thing i didn't like is the sliding when turning , it's the opposite of the Real life , here in place of starting to slow down the slide here the sliding gets bigger and bigger , also did you made the front lights as break lights on purpose ? and why didn't you use the damage textures ? .... the other things are really awesome

Yeah, I agree with you. The car has too much slide. But, I want make the car slide like this:

That tuning is original from the game. The slide was realistic, and smooth. Not more or less, the car still under control when sliding.

Here is the real life:

I want make this car sliding like that on MM2, I'm still figure it out how. And now, I'm totally confused, lol ...

About the fog lights, yeah I embeded it to Break Lights. Because, it'll on when Nights, or Foggy time in game.

About the damage textures, I'm using it. But, some damage textures on the body still doesn't work in game. IDK why, I was named the damage textures with suffix *_dmg.tga. When the car was damaged, the damage textures doesn't appear on the body. I'm still finding the solution about it. :)

Great welcome back with the cars converting projects. :) Really nice car and cool screenshots. :D Great work with the model parts placing and optimizing, it's a pretty bad thing with the DiRT 3 models.
