Riva uploaded the French version at one point. Not sure if it's still up. Then, b12man sent me the German version, and Pabolo sent me his Nordic version, which also contains Polish for some reason. They aren't anything special though.

Thanks, but in which language is the nordic version, or do you mean norwegian with that? And about the polish version, how is that even possible? I tried to make some kind of language pack for the earliest version of my colors pack and I tried to do polish too but it had some special characters that couldn't be saved in ANSI so I used Unicode but MM2 couldn't read the file and crashed.

I think it's some sort of Swedish language if I remember right, not sure though.
And the funny thing is, the Nordic version has the car names and colors in English. Only the JPG images are in Nordic/Polish.

Anyway, let's get back on topic now.

I can not play.

What's your screen resolution? I can play it on my netbook, 1024x600. Try updating your drivers

Then the game crashes and leaves the screen resolution 640 x 320 :/

EDIT:Now is working.
Just have to redo the instalation xD

New problems.
When I play the game loads up and plays a new song.
Then suddenly comes this message:
cant bootstrap the texture cache

I click ok and this appears:
memMemoryAllocator :: FindHeap failed on ptr 61dd790
Then the game crashes.
Any idea?

EDIT3:
Never mind.
All I had to do was put in game graphics option:
software only ^ ^

When I try to install I get this message: "Setup was unable to find (or could not read) the language specific resource dll, unable to continue. Please reboot and try again." I tried compatibility mode, didn't do anything. I'm running W7.

I it ran without installing, but I got the same errors as KamoN.

EDIT: Yeah, software mode works for me too, but it makes me feel like I've time traveled back to 1999.

Really? It worked perfect for me the first time I tried and I'm using Hardware rendering (without T&L) and everything is set to the highest possible quality. I have Windows 7 64-bit.

Sorry for the late reply, guys.

@Mudroc: Did you install it, or simply copy the files? You should run it from the installation if you didn't. If that's not it, then just copy the MMLANG.DLL file into the beta folder, and it should work.

@Others with video errors: If you have an Nvidia card, the game will not work with hardware. You must use software rendering if you want to play it.

@NiAlBlack: you mentioned highest settings... are you sure that they are staying? I can't get them above low for some reason, they're forced.

They stay only sometimes. The first time it didn't and the the sencond time either but after some tries it stayed.

Edit: Sorry, but I just realized that it was only the screen resolution that is the highest. The other stuff doesn't work.

Somehow I have a feeling that those settings are hard coded. Because every preview I've seen that used Beta 1 had low textures. I guess it didn't really matter to them at that point because it was a beta.

The game installing can be avoided, just extract only the folder called Game from the archives and then add in them the respective ebueula.dll files, present in the main archives directory (where there are the setup installers). The mmlang.dll files are already included in the Game folders, and must be so since it's an important part of the game. Isn't said that this way always works, though.
Successively, replace the game .exe files with the respective cracked ones and use the program called Run As Date to run the betas with a date before September 2000 (create shortcuts with it to run the betas always from the created shortcuts).

I confirm the impossibility of use the hardware rendering if the PC graphic card is by Nvidia; surely is so, also because of the final game 1.1 patch existing that fixed issues right with graphic cards of this brand.
Well, I would say that there's nothing weird if only the low settings for the textures works, a beta is a beta.
