Looks cool, great work with editing this model. It should come from a game for sure. Good work with the tuning.

Aerodynamic spoiler for traction at high speed. Nice!

In real world, at high speeds the spoiler acts as a wing of an aircraft, but in the opposite direction. It 'spoils' unfavorable air turbulence and adds more weight on rear wheels (which are mostly drive wheels) so that maximum traction can be gained..
In MM2, to enhance detail or maybe crash the computer by adding loads of polies (JUST JOKING ).

lol, anyway i knew that, but why do you want extra traction on a drift car???In real world, at high speeds the spoiler acts as a wing of an aircraft, but in the opposite direction. It 'spoils' unfavorable air turbulence and adds more weight on rear wheels (which are mostly drive wheels) so that maximum traction can be gained..

How are those polygons on the spoiler quadrilaterals? I've seen them only in MM2 tracks, can cars too have them?

3ds max works with quads as standard, most of the body came as triangles, but the spoiler etc is from scratch. zmodeler works better if you use triangles, but a lot of 3ds max functions only work with quads. if you export the model, all the quads will be converted to triangles, so that's no problem. the city maker program is used to work with quads, but they are also converted to triangles when you make the .pdsl file.

Oh, I see. And how many polygons until?3ds max works with quads as standard, most of the body came as triangles, but the spoiler etc is from scratch. zmodeler works better if you use triangles, but a lot of 3ds max functions only work with quads. if you export the model, all the quads will be converted to triangles, so that's no problem. the city maker program is used to work with quads, but they are also converted to triangles when you make the .pdsl file.
