problems installing mm2/verify cd

I recently built a new computer. After getting Windows XP up and running I tried installing MM2. It seems to install OK but it won't verify the CD. It worked before and still works on my 2nd computer but won't work on my new computer. Any ideas what might be interfering?

With Windows XP, MM2 has some loading problems, besides the compatibility problems and the possible graphics problems.
If you want, you can only install the Windows XP compatibility patch here, or download this NO-CD Crack v3 (CRC2) from MM2BR; it solves the problem about the slow loading in Windows XP, it avoid the CD verifing and it includes also the Nvidia graphic cards solved issues. Follow Readme file.

Wow, I never knew mm2br had that. Sounds cool, even though I have all of the stuff it contains (I think), I'm going to go download it and check it out.
