NFS 3 track ports possible?

Postby filipe1020 » Fri Jan 31, 2014 3:44 am

I've been wondering about this, some of you probably played the old game NFS 3: Hot Pursuit, there is some awesome tracks on it, I've been wondering if it's possible to port them to make it work on MM2, it would be completely awesome to drive on them on that game, here is some videos to show you how they're like

It would be even better if tracks like Atlantica and Aquatica would be merged into one big map!

Surely is possible get the models and the textures of the NFS 3 game tracks, there are unique ones. It's already so for the cars. Would be better have new higher quality textures, because the original ones are so low in quality that would look worse in MM2.

Really good idea.

Well maybe it's possible to replace the textures with higher quality ones, well I have no knowledge at map making and track porting so, yeah I hope someone will fullfill our dreams

Also more nfs 3 car ports would be nice and they fit well for the MM2 style, I would love to drive that Diablo SV :)

There is one on midtownmadness2.de in the Burns car pack and sajmon14 converted the CLK GTR and the Diablo SV but they are unreleased. Only to be seen in one of the races on Eurocity.

I saw a NFS 4 Corvette cop car around MMArchive. And Sajmon has LOTS of NFS 3 and 4 converted stuff, like that Desert Track, and the El Nino.

Desert Track has NFS stuff like

Gas station sign from redrock ridge
1964 Ford Mustang
1971 Dodge Challenger/Plymouth Cuda
Redrock Ridge "Visit Rusty Springs Raceway" sign (Rusty Springs was a track for the first NFS game.)

I'd love to see these maps for MM2.

Is it released somewhere or it's just another dead project?

Really, Sajmon14 hasn't never converted anything from NFS 3 or 4... Desert Track by Sajmon14 is here, and it's a scratch made release, made to resemble the NFS 3 desert tracks (he said it here). The El Nino release is a carpack and it's here; it's not a conversion by Sajmon14, of course.
