Hi! I'm glad to be the hoster of this year's MM2X Forum Awards

I'm not sure about the PM voting, because if people vote in the topic I guess it would be more reliable. What do you guys think?

About the nominations, after talking with Franch88 we decided to don't make nominations for this year. Last year people were nominated by him and he decided this year would be no nominations. When you are going to vote, you choose for each category the user you think that deserves to win.

Please be serious on it, don't take somebody who obviously shouldn't be selected for the category (best MM1 screenshoter for somebody who never took a screenshot of MM1 in 2014, for exemple).

About the categories, I'm going to take the same of last year. Again, no negative categories, because nobody would like to win the Biggest Kid "award"

About the author of best MM2 track add-on of the year award, you can only choose between SuperSecret (the famous Chicago convertion), Aaro4130 (for his map Block Fort), HummersRock (for his track remakes) and Kunal for his Monster Truck Arena.

1 - Best active member signature/s

2 - Best active member avatar/s

3 - Best active member custom title/s

4 - Best active member photoshop-er

5 - Best active member MM1 screenshot-er (consider all MM1 screenshot gallery, contest submitions and other screenshots shared in the forum)

6 - Best active member MM2 screenshot-er (same as above)

7 - Most creative active member

8 - Most mature active member

9 - Most helpful active member

10 - Most friendly active member

11 - Most funny active member

12 - Most smart active member

13 - Best video maker of the year

14 - Best cars modeler of the year

15 - Best newcomer member of the year

16 - Best newcomer screenshot-er of the year

17 - Best MM2 car converter of the year

18 - Best MM2 breakout of the year

19 - Best MM2 innovation of the year

20 - Author of best MM2 car add-on of the year

21 - Author of best MM2 track add-on of the year

22 - Author of best MM2 mod of the year

23 - Best programmer

24 - Most die-hard MM2 fan

25 - Author of best self amatory site

For the next 2 days this topic is open to discuss about the rules and awards. December 24th the votation begins, during at least 2 weeks (period may be extended considering the ammount of people voting). I'll announce the day votation ends 3 days before. You can vote in everybody you want, except in yourself. Members who joined the community after December 21st or didn't posted at least 10 publications in the forum until now cannot vote.

For now, feel free to give your opinion or suggestions

EDIT: Added Kunal to the addon track award nomination, I missed him :-/

EDIT: Changed the way of votation to a more simplified one, so you only have to choose one user for each category, instead of three in podium order.

So, I have a question. I've got Bronze for MM1 Screenshots in 2013. So, is that award still with me?

Seahawk, MM2X awards are annual, so the users are going to vote considering what happened this year on the forum. Last year you won the bronze in MM1 screenshoter, but this year there will be a new votation. You may win this year or not, it depends of the votation results.

Imagine this like the Oscars. An actor can win a Oscar this year, so he would receive a 2014 Oscar. But it doesn't mean he will receive the prize next year, right? All depends of the performance of that actor next year.

So you can keep the award in your signature since you write something like "2013 MM2X forum awards" before it. I guess there will be no problem since you can write what you want on your signature, but everybody needs some good sense

Now it's time to decide who wins this year's MM1 screenshoter award, as well as all the other awards.

I wrote the topic here because it was made like this in the last 2 years. But you're right, this is a forum section people normally don't visit.

I think voting should be done by PM only since some will have a opinion about 'that' particular person who didn't vote for him or chose someone else.. and I DON'T think that way

This kind of voting has to be done in PM to who organizes the award, that's KingAndy for this year. This normal thing shouldn't neither be discussed.

No, because this is a thing related only with the forum section. It isn't neither organized by a website admin... Then, it's directly right to those members who visit and are at least pretty active always in the forum. Who would care read of it who only use to visit the website for the downloads and the screenshots in the galleries?

I think people could vote just on the user that in their opinion should win each award, instead of choosing three people for each award in podium order.

Since there's a lot of categories to vote, it would be boring having to choose 3 people for each one, voting only for one person on each category would be much easier. The podium for each one would be done considering the 3 guys with more votes. What do you think?

Oh god, so many categories, so little time! Guess I gotta start on those tracks, making a website, add a banner and be more creative till the end of the month if I want to stand a chance XD

Since this year was created the MM1 downloads section, maybe we could consider include that category.

Votation begins officialy now! You have at least 2 weeks to think about who you think that deserve winning each award and vote. The period may be extended if not enough people vote.

You should vote sending me a PM, writing each of the categories and the user you consider that should win. You can vote in everybody you want, except in yourself. As the hoster I cannot vote, but you can vote on me for any category if you think I deserve it.

If you think nobody deserves winning some category, write something like "white vote" after the category.

End of the votation is supposed to be at January 7th, but the period may be extended. I'll say 3 days before if I'm going to extend the time for not enough people voting.

I'll edit my first post, because the changing about the votation method (instead of choosing 3 users in podium order you just choose one.)
