Yeah, you can use anything from RV4 as long as you credit me.

Is the fix in the pkg? Or is it somewhere else?

Yeah, the PKG file. It was a uv mapping error.

Nice, I love me some more colors to my game, I especially can't wait for the special paintjob for the Volkswagen Beetle, I don't see those very often.

Hmm, I tried to use your pkg-file and added colors in zmodeler, but the error will appear again. Can I send the file to you so you can fix it?

Well I just re-checked my model. It wasn't a UV mapping error after all, but the front VL texture was put there instead. What I did was use MM2CT's file browser to change the texture name.

You can fix it on your model by replacing all of the front VL textures with the top back one like I did. Or a better fix would be to select those faces in Zmodeler, and assign the proper texture to them.

I think it's easier to use MM2CT because who cares how good the fix is done as long as you have the same result.

Edit: OK, fixed it now, I just didn't have time to do this earlier.

Another edit: I just realized that the 11th color of the VW New Beetle isn't buggy in any aspect for some reason, so I'll make this one have 11 colors like it was originally planned :)
Edit: Only works when taking it directly after the game was started.

OK, the Audi TT is finished:

This may be a bit too shiny but I'm happy with it. Also compare to the default paintjobs, some are also very shiny.

Chinatown is also included, but I dont think that a picture is necessary.

I also have the same problem as I had with the Beetle: A line can be seen all across the middle. I have no idea how to fix it and its not because of the textures like someone said before abut the Beetle. But for some reason this bug doesn't appear on default colors. :?

One other question: Is it possible to let add-on colors appear in races. E.g. in London, there's a race called South Bank Brawl or similar and you're racing against I think 7 New Minis but only the 1st 4 colors appear. Where is it stored which color is used. And the same for cops. Is it possible to let the add-on color NYPD appear in NY, so copny.ar isn't required anymore. I tried to use the normal cop in NY but the London paintjob will appear. Any Ideas?

You might want to change "Chinatown" to "Wing Cho". That's the proper name for the color.

They're too shiny because the default TT has a lower value set for "Shininess" - Download the MM2 City Toolkit, get it set up, run it, and press "F9" (alternatively, go to Tools --> File Browser) and find your modified PKG files. Click on vpauditt.pkg and then click the button that says "Shader Editor"

You'll see all the textures used listed there, and they have shininess values. Basically, find out what the default paintjobs shininess value is and then put those in your modified cars. Hope this helps.

1. Where do you know that from? It isn't in the game. Was just wondering.

2. Why didn't you use this name in RV4?

Edit: Thanks CarLuver, but it's because the textures itself are too white on this part. But still, it may look better, I'll try. :)

OK, I'll use this name. And what about the Mini Cooper paintjobs? Did you find anything out about them? If not, I'm gonna call them Lavender, Lime, Cherry and Black ;) I think these names fit better then names like Eden Green or Dolo Blue. And the red color was called Fire Red, is that right? However, I think there is not enough orange in it to call it fire red, but thats only my opinion :)
