Really good the design of the new roads, it fits with the roads of the default SF. However, now it's being a bit too much to still hope for the in-game working...
There is a very big chance that this will be possible, remember Koreacity?
Koreacity mod is based on PKG objects, instead for this project is planned the edit of the PSDL terrain to have roads with working traffic and pedestrians; it's something much more hard to do and get to work well. Koreacity mod would be only good to look at how much amount of polygons can be added.

If we need to, we'll only model Marin County. Something tells me that the east part of the bay won't be all that great anyway.

For that you gotta be invited, and I'm not the one that's going to invite :P (not wanting to sound mean, but I usually regret my decisions when it comes to these kind of things, so I'll leave that for another person ;) )

Looks a great idea, I'm really curious about it.
i've been following this idea since you first showed it on facebook :/ but will mm2 handle it ? what do you think the estimated polycount will be ? what about the lag ? generally this seems too big in my opinion :/ ... hope it works :D
Well, there is a similar mod that adds bus routes to san fransisco. That mod don't has really nice quality, but it proves it's possible to make a so big extension. But for it dummiesboy can't add much polygons to his new buildings.

BTW, will you add traffic and pedestrians to your extension areas, or even new races?

They get bored very soon. :| Lack motivation seriously. That's the reason for no updates.

Actually I'm still waiting on someone to prove to me that we can even edit PSDL like we need to in the first place. He's got a bit of an unreliable reputation though, lol.

I did say it would be awhile before much progress was made, and I guess I didn't lie. However, I finally have something to show. Thanks to Midas, we finally have a starting point for expanding the freeway over the Bay Bridge. The map is also more complete.

Can't say when more progress will come, but when there is some, I'll post about it.
