There might be possibilities that this theory is right.
Like I argued before, I think you guys are just overthinking about simple stuff.
Just look - the game was developed on a rush and featured tons of stuff carried from the first title, do you really think they'd waste time coming up with those complicated concepts nobody would eve think about, but not trying to improve the game graphics to keep up with other titles of its time?
