About the Invert Mod v2, I'm ready for an your PM about the models request and some rules Anthony.
Syoryu is an illegal converter? 8O 8O 8O I thought he asked for permission the original author of the D1GP cars?
The Syoryu's illegal conversions should be the other cars like the Bugatti Veyron, the Chevrolet Caprice, the BMW M5, the Ford Escort WRC, the Mitsubishi Lancer and other ones available at his website and at MMArchive.
About the D1GP cars pack for Racer, the author has said that you have the free permission to convert the models for other games. Check this topic at MMArchive forum and the link to the info about the pack.

Strange. I remember now this Racer Free Car Simulation project, started by the RSC community with the lead of FSR. I had contacted this person regarding her very good Chrysler Crossfire to convert it in MM2. The management of textures and 3D model is in practice identical and contrary to the GTA serie or Mafia, you shouldn't manage the detachable parts such as doors, trunk, hood etc. FSR had appreciated my request but refused it because he wanted that his work is available only for an unique game, Racer.

However I found this website from your link Franch but the webpages doesn't appear.

Edit : voila I found the original cars (need to compare them with the MM2 versions). It's well FSR the original author (with the help of other RSC members, Endo, LB, Mr. Whippy, TtR etc).

lol i have been away sorry, for a bit, i will need to read the newest posts a few times to work it all out. will edit this psot in a sec, and for who was asking to be a beta tester. beta 5 is the last public reslease before rc1. However i have newer versions myself which can be mdae available however they are patchy so you will have to wait a bit.

some new features I have been doing whilst I have been away (not many but still)

drive on water - custom fall in water message - new game icons - have discovered how to change the cars used for crash courses.

sounds a lot but isn't really. Also I'm gonna neaten up the cursor and release cursor mod final.

edit: also please dont shoot me for sayin gthis but where is the differnce between

a - converting jo blogs 3rd party addon for nfs hp to midtown madness 2

b - converting a standard car from nfs hp created by ea game without asking them first.

- i'm a bit new to all this permissions stuff, i always went along with, if you want to include some1 elses work, read what the readme says you can do, if that doesn't tell you email him (or her) and ask.

so its ok to convert origional cars from games, eg it would be ok for me to convert the Ford Mustang Fastback from MM2 to NFS Carbon (don't ask me why I would want to)

but if I were to convert HQTMs Nissan Skyline then thats not allowed, correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, convert cars from original games it's ok, no permissions problems. Like converting an MM2 one to NFS Carbon (an impossible thing, only NFS MW is editable), showed by your example.

All HQTM-Team cars aren't allowed to convert. For a scratch made car model made by a game community member (he could be a newbie like a professionist) you have to ask for permission if you want to convert his model creation.

kl, thanks, also just received permission from martin leps to use his aston martin.

gonna try and see if i can work out how to convert cars myself as it would be very useful for project prospero aswel.

Really ? Strange that Martin Leps changed his opinion especially after having seen all his creations converted from NFS4 to MM2 without his permission but ... why not.

that sounds a bit harshe but in all honesty I haven't tried the overhauled mod. I don't intend to use that many new cars in my mod though as I have had a though about file size. Its 19mb with no cars. However I am a bit busy this week so i doubt ill get much done and also I am working on my track.

Will update soon.

I meant that it was amazing that Martin Leps accepts after what there happened with these creations, converted from NFS4 to MM2 without his agreement.

also I should add the richard p is responsible for the biggest addon city in MM2 (actually maybe HQTMs 2 might be bigger)

The HQTM-Team's Classic Madness is the bigger and best mod ever.

If I'll send to you my models (I'll send them only when the final release will be quite ready) I have to be a beta tester too.
I would like to check the RC1 or RC2 version, and then send the cars.
