Could be this one. I still don't know if replacing video.cfg will work for sure. Try it and see.
Keanu Reeves chose the Red pill and started bending spoons. I chose ZModeler 1.07b and made my own Matrix.
Thanks to aaro4130! On the windows 7 computers is it 2 screens installed and I have tried to unhook one screen and now the videopatcher works for me on windows 7. But on windows 8 and 10, the game lags when I use hardware mod.
After using the videopatcher I am able to use hardware mode but the game lags and is unplayable on hardware mod on windows 8 and 10. I know the problem is anything with direct draw. Please help!
Also, is it any patch available to play mm1 with 2 or more screens?
In all cases, I am happy because I have solved step 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: MM1 video patcher?
I might have found another patch, it works with my Windows 8.1 and MM1 pretty good while in "Cruise"-mode. Races still lag with the map, hud or rear view mirror on, I don't know why and I will keep searching for a better fix for this!
EDIT: I have not tested this with 2 screens yet, but I will A.S.A.P
This site https://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showthread.php?t=19870 mentions a download link:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/
Extract the downloaded RAR-file named "v2_03_47_build.rar" (in my case this is the name of the file, but it might be updated some day, so the name can differ)
Now copy everything you just extracted to the MM1 install folder.
EDIT: https://www.williamfeely.info/download/ ... -win32.exe is a program you can install which does the same thing, but don't have them both installed though.
Start MM1 and go to graphics settings, set your graphics card as default renderer and max out the settings.
Now you should be able to cruize with the map, hud and rear view mirror on. (I have not tested this with mods yet)

I am currently upgrading a Dell desktop pc of mine to Windows 8.0 (32 bit). I am going to try dual booting it with Windows 8.1, so I can look into MM1/MM2 problems better (maybe even triple boot, so i have 8, 8.1 and 10 on one pc). But it's going to take some time, even with installations from usb-drives..
Why I dont get any answer on my last post?
I need help to use dgvoodoo 2.
Another thing, the videopatcher makes it possible to use 5
resolutions
640x480
800x600
1024x768
1400x1050
1920x1080
some screens doesnt support higher resolution than 1280x1024.
How can I get the resolution 1280x1024 in the video.cfg file?
Please help! I will be very happy if I can get help with all this things. Thanks

It's not easy to get this old game to work well, that's why there is a few people here.
First, MM1 doesn't use Glide, just DirectX and other stuff.
Oh, here is something for the resolutions:

This is a bit complex, so, MAKE SURE to BACKUP the video.cfg before doing this dangerous thing.

Thanks! This from RohitXL5 works for me. Thanks to RohitXL5 and FXANBSS for the help. Now I can play the game with the resolution 1280x1024.
This works on the windows 7 computer. But still, I dont have solved the problem with Midtown Madness on windows 8 and 10. I know the game use direct draw and now I know also, the game doesnt use glide.
I hope it will be solved with the game on windows 8 and 10 anytime!
