Now I can finally start to work on these long-waiting cars. :)
Here's the progress on Cherokee, I've made the drive train and hopefully I'll get it into Zmodeler by 12 am, tonight. (I'm feeling sleepy  )

..and I don't think the purpose I was making this even exists anymore. :P So its for MM2.

Finally I have a sort of vacation and now I can spend 6-7 hours daily for this stuff. So far, I've imported the model into Zmodeler, and am tuning normals by detaching faces..
Image

I had to make everything one single object to get it into Zmodeler from Blender, because the objects didn't appear in the correct position in Zmodeler. That's why I've raised the main components on the Y axis.

Zmodeler's default .pkg filter can export with 10 colours, so I'm thinking to make 5 default colours like black, yellow, etc.. and 5 exotic ones, like Shibe Doge, Grim Reaper, and something similar. :)

Nice model! Keep it up!

How about a Grim Creeper color, a parody of the Grim Reaper? Complete with "National Security Agency" logos. :P Or if you want to target non-US people, Big Corporations?

Good update for this nice model, looking ahead to see it textured. :) Good choice for the colors.

Almost finished fixing normals by now, here's how it looks so far. Still the hood needs to be made better.

Image

For the textures, I'm using blender to make them, as they must have some static shading like default MM2 cars have. I'm testing orthographic (without perspective) render from blender that will be easy to map on the main body.
Image

And since I'm too lazy to make animated wipers again, it'll have damage textures, made from Blender. :P I sub-divided the main body mesh to get a real hi-poly mesh. Look: 8O
Image
and then by using tools in blender, make it crumpled.

Final render will be used as damage texture.

Those are too much polygons for the 3D damaged model. :? See its polygons count, but it's enough look at that screenshot to say that it can't work in MM2.
Have a good work with the textures, though.

Damaged 3D model isn't intended to be put into MM2. :o I didn't even save before exiting Blender, it was just to make renders of side, front , back and top of the car and those images will be used as damaged textures.

From the renders I created in Blender, (dat rhyme :P) external body textures have nice static shading effect, like default cars' textures and the look good so far.

Textures look extremely realistic, even in ZModeler. Good work! :)

Gotta love the light textures :)

Why not trying to make the turn signals a very little bit more "orange"? ^^
