Invert Mod v2

OK, I'm currently in the process of making Version 2 of Invert Mod. To be fair Version one was a complete failure. Never really got out of beta stages. But I have started again and I know where I went wrong last time. I tried to change everything with it and never got there.

Anyway, this time I'm focussed on the the menus. Yh there's loads of mods for the actual game. Cars, Texture mods but nothing for the actual in game. So thats what I'm going to work on. However I want to know a few things, what do you want the background to actually looks like. Photos, In game shots, what? I will create a poll but please leave comments.

Also I would like to know what kind of cursor you would like to see. The original or something new.

As you can see still lots to do but I'm getting there.

Still need you thoughts on what the background would be.

As for the cursor I found it in a screenshot of something hiding in my pictures so dunno what it was originally but I have edited it to my liking, what do you think.

Going to release it as a standalone mod in a bit, its not completely finished it I can give it to you as it is now if you want though. its about 2kb, the cursor that is.

The new menu looks cool! Congrats for the job. The cursor looks great.
But maybe your new MM2 logo isn't so good, because it's an editer MM1 logo.

Another quick update here. Of course I still need to do the backgrounds but thats the easier bit. (I hope). Would prefer a few more people to take the poll and give me some hints as the what to make the background. Wouldn't mind come comments.



Oh yh, and if anyone has a good MM2 logo and wants to help with this mod please speak up. I am not having best of luck with it. I have an idea but its not very good, what do you think?

The new menu looks cool. Just change the bottom buttons and use an in-game image with nice effects (like blur and brightness) for the background. Sure it'll looks cool.
The new Midtown Madness 2 logo has your "MadnessRed" style and it's good for you mod. Maybe is better change the number 2 and use in-game SF and London pictures for the background (some details of them, like the Big Ben and the Golden Gate bridge with dark effects).

What do you think about that kind of effect, OK, its a bit rushed and ill need to make it fit in more as it wont go straight in like that but as an initial idea?

I've understood that the inverted car colors from the pictures stays for your Invert Mod. That kind of effects is good, but is better place the car image in the black areas of your menus. The helicopter is cool!
It's good to make all things with the same style; then from your new Midtown Madness 2 logo, better replace that Big Ben and car pictures with some important monuments of the two game cities with the effect of your upper image. And also adjust the number two.

just hit a smal problem the MM2 menu screens appear to be only 16bit or lower colour, back to work then...

ok it appears that the poll shows that you want an edited photo.Can i please have some idea as to what you want the photo of and how you want it edited? Thanks Anthony

Simply try to use a real car photo (also a photo of a MM2 car) with the same inverted colors effect of the upper in-game image.
For me is better to use in-game images for that effect, but maybe the result applied to a real photo may change my opinion. Try to add some other effect.

OK I think i will do the Aston martin DB7 and the Form Mustang Fastback as they seem to be the games iconic cars. I try both in game shot and real photo. i will have to try and find my mm2 cd again

Unless you need to install mm2 it's a lot easier to use the mm2 no cd crack. Also, why do you not post your projects on mm2c also?
