Hidden.

Well, everyone is always hidden when they log on. I finally changed the option so that I'm not hidden and Franch88 isn't, but everyone else is. So why not change this?

Stop being hidden you sneaks.

It would be nice to see who's online.

There were 3 hidden people on before I posted this.

Nice idea HummersRock. I've switched my on-line status from hidden to visible since I'm the moderator of this website forum.
I know some hidden members. When they have putted a post (and after done this there's you nickname in your post), I've noticed that that members were hidden.
I don't want let know their nicknames!

So if you want, follow the HummersRock's council.

I know some of them who hide but not all. It seems that having your status to hidden is a default option. Is this why the forum has never had more than 28 people online at one time(if the counter doesn't count hidden people)?

Is the forum record of 28 users ever online what you mean? That record includes visible, hidden and guest users. The users counter counts all the people in the forum, both registered and not.
For me the member online status is setted as visible by default.

Odd, seems weird that it's only 28. I've been told that when this was first up it was more popular then mm2c, yet mm2c has a record of 260+ members on at once but this forum only has a record of 28.

EDIT: When I registered it had me hidden. That was the default.

I haven't checked it. But just do another account registration without confirm it, only to check how is the online member original status.

The 28 users record on this forum is too little.

And it's also recent, it's of the 2007.

Makes no sense to me why it's so low. If this was really popular way back when mm2 community started out I would think it would be high. Maybe it was reset do to server crash or forum update or something?

Can be a possibility that the user counter has been resetted, especially after the old design restyling made to this website. Maybe DjDecibel may know something about that; in 2004 there was a period that this website was unactive for server changing.
Any way this should be the first place for the MM2 community, besides the newbies.

Well, the only way that the mm2 people from mm2c would start coming here would be:

1. Mm2c closes down, which ain't gonna happen soon.
2. Or by some miracle every from mm2x starts coming here besides visiting mm2c.

People should be coming here, since MM2c stopped updating.

My user status is always visible, don't get why people want to hide their online status.

People go to mm2c because, unlike this forum, mm2c is active. It gets like 30-70 posts a day.

Check again, your hidden.

Strange. We have more downloads, and our site's cooler.

But it's probably because people still think we still have the 4kb/s download rate. They should migrate to our side. Hello, hidden people.

Well mm2c became more popular some while back. Probably mainly because of all the programmers like fre_ber, Yallis, and Maxoff that cracked almost all the mm2 formats. Then there were other skilled people making good maps even years ago.

I haven't sifted through the topics here but I think this has always been more of a newbie place, and defiantly mainly a car place. Mm2c had the tracks and that's what people liked the most. Then, as mentioned, they had the programmers.

As far as I know MM2 Central has been the ever visited website; maybe it was the first MM2 downloads website that I've visited. Of course also the forum was and still is the most visited by MM2 community. For example the programmers like Maxoff don't have an account here; Maxoff told me that he don't need and don't want an account on this website. It looks like the favorite forum by the MM2 modelers and most longeval experts in MM2 modding.

Yes HummersRock, this forum was and still is the best place for newbies that have just tried MM2, for who wants new cars asking to others, and for how wants try to made some add-on or mod for the game.
There's an old topic where Ryan, an administrator here that isn't any more active, says that there are few people on this forum! It's dated 2003.
