San Francisco and London trouble.

Well, this problem started not too long ago. It involves San Francisco and London. I cannot play them! The messages that appear for the cities are these:

SF error message: sp_lightstreet_f_BREAK01: Required object totally missing

London error message: sp_benchwood_f: Required object totally missing

I have tried using another mm2core sent to me by Awalwang, but that didn't work. I have also tried to reinstall some files, do a complete reinstall right over the original files, and I also tried to just take the mm2core off of the mm2 disk and replaced the old one with it. Nothing works.

Help me people! I need to be able to drive on San Francisco.

This is very weird. The messages says that some PROPS cities objects (the pole or the light of the street light in SF and the wood bench in London) are missing.
Never happened to me, so I can't give you a clear response. Even a reistallation solve the problem; have you tried to delete all game traces afted uninstalled it? I meant delete the Midtown Madness 2 folder.

This problem can be given by your profile. Try to use the DriverX profile; if you haven't it or you're playing MM2 with it, delete the players folder from you MM2 directory, start MM2 and it'll remake it (if you want you can backup your possible personal profile with the scores and the unlocked cars).
Is possible that this problem is given by your personal profile. Maybe it's damaged (in the players profile there are the SF and London folder with the amateur and pro records).

I tried using a different profile and deleting my profile and using the driver x profile just now, no luck. I have deleted the folder and am installing right now.

Try to install MM2 on a new user (not in the Program Files) and run MM2 by clicking the "midtown2" icon. See if it works without addons first.

That worked....but now it doesn't. Some file screwed it up...if it doesn't work now I'm going to hunt down whoever made the file that is doing this...or, no wait. I have a better idea...

This can be a good solution. For new user you mean a new Windows account.

I don't know if removing the MM2 system registry key the problem will be solved. But this can be tested.
Uninstall MM2, deleting its folder and before install it delete its key from the system registry (Midtown Madness 2 voice) by using RegCleaner.
If this won't work, sure an hard disc format and Windows install will solve the problem. :?

I seems it is just a mod but it's odd that this mod ruined it on the other HDD.

Try installing the MM2 on a different computer. If it still doesn't work(CD is messed up), there's pretty much only one thing left to do: download the giant-sized abandonware file.

It does work on on my main HDD. It does not work on my other HDD.

However, if I put all of the files I used to use back in, sf and london do not work. I'm trying to find out what file causes this.

Try the MM2 abandonware segnalated by me; it seems that doesn't needs an installing. Try it in both the HDDs.
I don't think that is a CD problem; you've given the mm2core.ar file to HummersRock, but the problem still exist.

Like I said, it does work on my main HDD so I'll just keep it on that. NYC caused a problem with sf which is weird since I have never had this kind of trouble with NYC. I think Riva's tracks caused problems also.

It's possible that the tracks can make troubles to the game. You have to remeber all the critical things done to MM2 to try to solve this weird problem. :?

NYC might have worked before, but it's a possibility that a mod you put in would have caused this problem. I've had cars turn into a black shadow when I put certain cars into the directory. Problems like these are mostly permanent.

MM2 needs a exe hack with re-programing.
