HummersRock's Cars

Postby HummersRock » Mon Dec 17, 2007 4:13 pm

Well I'm making a car again. I was wanting to and finally have gotten around to it. It took a good while to find a blueprint that didn't have seats drawn in, parts of the car missing, etc. I saw a Audi TT that was suffering from this, and a Hummer H3 that had been drawn by a 4 year old, enlarged, and blurred. What an eyesore!

Anyways, I went with this Subaru Legacy 2001. This will not be an ordinary car, oh no. This car will be..."special". ;)

Here is a pic of the start.

Image

Yeah, I know the top pic is messed up, I'll fix it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, I have started another project

Should be some not too bad of results. I did OK on my land rover that I canceled and better on the mini of mine that also got canceled.

Visual Style? You mean the blueprints? The only problem is I might have problems creating all the things realistically. Like having grill, headlights, etc all made like they should be made.

The Specialness this car will have will be in it's tuning. ;) I won't abandoned this project. ;)

For all the details you could ask Riva for help.

The blueprints and some real life pics are all I need. When it comes to tuning I'm not doing realistic tuning.

The little and detailed parts of a car are too hard to be modeled; is also good if you'll made a medium polygons model without interiors. ;)
I hope that the tuning will be interesting, and ask Riva for any help in modeling. :)

Another update.

I'm sure my poly structure/placement still isn't too great. I need to actually look at some pics of the car (still have not done that).

The tuning will, if possible, be a breakthrough in mm2. If not it will still be pretty interesting.

It looks good, just adjust the side polygons, they are too flat. Look also some real car photos. :)

How are they too flat? I'll go look at some photos of the real car.

EDIT: I see what you mean.

Good job, I'm glad to see you building cars again. :D

I would try but I lack motivation to do anything hard!

Lol. Yeah, the main reason I stopped is because I was having real problems with making the vehicle going from side to front and stuff. Also, the biggest pain about making cars is finding blueprints. So many blueprints either only have the side and front, etc, or they have seats and other stuff drawn in making them hard or impossible to use.

A little bit of a update.

Orange FTW.

Haven't fixed the flat polys on the side (need to fix some above the wheels). The front (on the side) is going to be a pain to get nice and curved like it's supposed to be.
