Is it possible to make a model in sketch up (from google) and export it in a 3D file (with pro exporters) to convert it in Zmodeler to an pkg or pdsl file without losing texture?
because sketch up is easier in making a car or an city than Zmodeler.

Somebody did do that on mm2c forums. But the quality of the car (and textures ???) was destroyed in the conversion process. Even in game, the car looked 2D. NO REFLECTIONS AT ALL! LOL!

Trust me, if you plan to make a few cars for MM2, learn to use ZM. It may not be as easy as GoogleSketchup, but its a lot easier than other software. You can check my tutorial to see if it helps. (see my sig.)

Ahh, found that threadhere. As you can see, utterly destroyed.

ahh sketchup is TOTAL CRAP!

Sketchup takes no skill what so ever and the final result proves my point. They look really terrible don't waste your time.

But I don't think he even took the time to texture. Anything will look pathetic if all you do is use some cartoon colors. Can't get it into Zmodeler and give it good textures so that it looks fine in game.

Seeing the results from some in-game screenshots, the use of the program Google SketchUp isn't recommended, at least if you want to model cars, while would be a very good program to make tracks for MM2, but the use of ZModeler to texture and improve them is binding.

thanks!!!!!!

Whenever you first take a preview of any tutorial or book or set of instructions, it always looks tough. But if you DO it, you'll find its easier than you thought. Same thing with this Zmodeler tutorial. Just do it. You will find it has a nice & simple interface, very user-friendly and the functions are easy to learn.

You may want to download the pdf version of my tutorial here. But it doesnt have the advanced lessons like making animated textures and sirens/copcars.

I also made video tutorials of Lesson 1 and Lesson 2.
