how many people still play this if theres a lot why whould the zone retire it even with mm3. also is there another way i could play online without the zone.
There are still some people playing, I don't know exactly how many people, but it isn't many. I think there still were a lot of people playing online when The Zone was taken down. I guess there weren't enough people for Microsoft.
You can play online with IGZ (international Gaming Zone). You will have to download the client and also register on the site so that you have an account. If you have a router you might also have to mess with it and get some ports forwarded. I can't help you with that though, sorry.
