Yeah, there are some rumors about the next NFS game since some week. This and this are the only images available related with this game, as Wilder has let know. The second screenshot is very similar to one about NFS Most Wanted, looking more a fake. Both are artworks anyway.
A Russian fan website has reported a news about the next NFS series game, with the name Need For Speed Out of the Law, and the subtitle of "Street racing is not a crime, well it is, but f**k it". I'll be developed by the Criterion Games, the same developer of the Burnout series. The main news is the introduction of the bikes, like in the game Burnout Paradise. It seems similar to Underground 2 and Carbon, with the re-indirection of an accurate car tuning feature, unlike the recent NFS games, and an arcade driving. The city ambient is called Sun Bay, a fictional city similar to San Francisco.
However, the Criterion Games has completely denied this news through Twitter. The only thing that seems sure is that the next NFS game will be developed by Criterion Games. At the end, this news has been a rumor, better wait for a different and official news.
