Hello everyone,

I'm finally going to make a mod for mm2! :D
I'm going to replace some sounds in-game with those from findsounds.com! :) But, I need help. How do I do this in deAR?
Shall I choose the files in mm2aud.ar and extract them? And how do I replace them?

take it easy tela , what's up with you ???

well you can't replace the old sounds with dear , the only way to make it is to rename the files same as the ones that you want to replace (of course the file type must be the same too ) and add the in the right folders and pack those folders into an .ar archive using winrar and add some "!!" before the name of the archive and put the .ar in the game directory :) good luck

With DeAR 2 (specify the number, DeAR program is referred to the one for MM1) open the mm2aud.ar file and extract the audio files that you want to replace; from the files and folders names should be easy recognize which sound file/cathegory each is and belongs. Prepare your files and use the same file names of the ones that you want to replace, placing when in the same folers directory. To test the change in-game, just make a .zip file of the main folder where are your sounds and rename to something like !!!leo98soundsmod.ar or what you want, the important are at least three "!" symbols to guarantee its working and the .ar file extension instead of .zip.

Ok, post your mods projects and questions related with them in this topic, but, why you'd posted another similar topic in the General section? It was useless, what was its purpose?

Ok, no problem for that. For the not working of the mod making try, is better let check what you've done to someone receiving the reply about what you've done wrong. I'll test it, I'll PM you later.

IMO the normal crash sounds are more realistic, but good effort.

well this sounds pretty good :) it would've been better if you would change something else the crashing sounds , maybe some ambient sounds :)

Really, I don't like these impacts sounds, the default game ones are much better; the traffic horns are ok instead. The fact is that this kind of mod isn't that much worth most of the times. Is now pretty hard make a good and also original mod.
