Personally, I don't see why this hasn't been done already.

This is useful, but there's already MM2.lock deleter, which is technically faster.

Yeah, and Azbestos also released a modified exe that ignores the lock.

Yeah but that throws an error mesage anyways.

I made this cuz im commonly crashing from addon city to SF or London, and making fail tracks, making fail cars, etc. Thats the purpose

Not a needed program, is enough delete the Trouble.rtf file to don't get anymore its opening after a game crash and re-launching, just press Ok to the file missing error message that will come up, then the mm2.lock file gets automatically removed, and at the end run again the game to play it. There are apposite shortcuts in the game folder to run the game in those other ways, never used though.
Other alternatives there are too, like the MM2 Game Loader that let ignore the mm2.lock file launching the game with it.

Or just use the -nolockcheck command line? No mods needed, no files need deleted.... just gotta add that to your shortcut.

You need to have the shortcut to the game .exe file for that, but this is another alternative, the best with the MM2 Game Loader one, a program great to manage downloaded .ar files too. Many alternatives to don't have the not so much annoying mm2.lock file things there are, no more need to invent new ones.
However, if you run the game in windowed mode using the D3D Windower program the only way to fix this is do my way, delete the Trouble.rtf file just to don't get this file opened, or use one of the two exisitng mm2.lock file automatic deleter programs, better this one, but it has to always start up with Windows.

i just remove the lock file manually everytime it shows up , and usually when the game crashes you must go to directory to remove something or do something there with the .ar files so in the road i delete it too .

In my case i dont have to remove addons. I just like this, cuz i dont use shortcuts, or anything. So its perfectly fine...
