Yes, you do need program for recording and editing a video.

Hey how I can make videos, do I need a program for that?, for some good video. :wink:
To record in-game gameplays you must use a screen capturing program, keeping it running in background while playing the game. The best one deigned for games is Fraps, available here. The trial version allows 30 seconds of video recording per time.

Fraps + Windows Movie Maker (although I don't suggest it very much, but as it's free..) or Adobe Premiere.
