Yeah. The box is for people like my sister, who still doesn't understand the difference between the tags and the .IMG image files

A such feature can be more useful for the linked words, a bit complicated to make initially, but for images embedding is useless. Then, it's typical of more evolved forums creating platforms, the phpBB 2.0 one is now old and pretty basic.
You learn and use it quickly anyway, just click once on the IMG BBcode button to open the tag, paste the image direct link using CTRL+V command and click again on that button to close the tag. I always write manually all the tags.

What it is, is faster. It literally takes less than a second. Also, the Img button here isn't useful if you're adding an image in the middle of the text (if you decide to write out a post first like I do) because it'll just add the code to the end of the text. Oh well nbd I guess xD

Just highlight link and press img tag once. Works for other tags as well (b, u, i, quote,...etc).

Eh, I don't really like image embedding features. And I don't like it when forums try to take control of image posting/sizing, etc. It's annoying to me.

it's a good feature for a forum newbie, but not necessary, i always used the old bbcode tag system and i never had problems :)

if i'll get som time i can try to implement this feature :)
