MMArchive is back

Postby Gafaddict » Wed Jan 09, 2013 12:24 am

It's been a while since it actually happened but I figured I should mention it. MMArchive is back in business after our host company shut us down for having too many EXE's on the server (classic mistake).

Our file library is now restored in its entirety, so:

Good to know this and that is all fine with MMArchive, thanks for the info.
This issue of the many .exe files on the server is related with the last time that the website has been offline for more than one month, right? So there was more than the uploading of a malware and the FTP account compromising, as previously you said?

Maybe the extra .EXE files were added by the compromised FTP account (or something)?

Nope. They were just EXE's I and others had uploaded that were installers for MM1/MM2 addons. And the hosting company THOUGHT those were the product of a compromised FTP account when it was just us uploading them, so they shut us down.

Totally my fault because my server's terms of service specifically disallow loose EXE's floating around the server. Oh well.
