Howdy-
I have downloaded a bunch of mods and cars for MM2 but I can't get them to actually show up in the game.
Sorry to ask a stupid question. I couldn't find the answer.
Thanks.

Hey there! :)
Nope, that question isn't stupid, you look like you just didn't know how to install the addons.

Well, when you download it, it comes in a .rar file, inside that .rar file there is a .ar file.
Get the .ar file in your main Midtown 2 folder, and you're done. :)

And also be aware that adding too many .ar files into the MM2 folder at once will crash the game while loading. If this happens, simply remove some (1 or 2) .ar files and it'll be good.

Also note that some add-ons conflict with each other and can not be in at the same time.

Yep, these have all happened to me when I started out mm2 and heard about its mod, when I was reeeealy young.. One thing that has been happening lately is the .ar doesn't want to copy, so MAKE SURE that .ar file is actually in there, or else copy it somewhere else out of the .rar or .zip file, then CUT it into the MM2 folder and you are done. :)

the download folder is usually in your user folder in local disc C

the mm2 directory is in C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Midtown Madness 2/

or

C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Midtown Madness 2/ ... if you have a 64bit operating system ;)

"Directory" means the game's folder which you have installed it.
