Surely that's not possible, MM2 supports only the 16 bit color depth. Maybe through an external tool this can be forced for any DirectX application? But then, in 8 bit you just get a worse graphic, there's no point in that. Would be great if can be found a way to give it the 32 bit color depth, instead.

Well 16-bit is only the available color-depth in all screen resolutions. Now I want it to run in 32-bit color.

It's what I've said indeed, MM2 supports only 16 bit of color depth, for all the screen resolutions obviously. You're not the only one that wants MM2 to run in 32 bit of color depth, but it's still impossible so far, and it sounds impossible to make.

They must recompile a new version of "midtown2.exe".

In my opinion, This isn't true. you guys used a memory editor like cheat engine or something. you edited the text like 640 x 480, 16 bit color to 640 x 480, 32 bit color. I tried this before and yet, it didn't worked. :?

I thought that you did that. You've just edited the text part in that file, where says the resolutions and color depth, but that obviously won't give the result of effectively get the changed screen resolution or color depth. The 16 bit color depth it's surely a limit of the game engine, something understandable for a 2000 year game.

There is no text in that file! I have already explained this multiple times yet people keep saying it, It's binary, If I change it to 32 bit, no crash, 8 bit, no crash, but over that, it crashes, so obviously there is a point to having it! Also the resolutions change as well. It is not just text or else the file would not exist!
