Have you ever wanted to improve on a game series?

I would of wanted to improve the Crash Time series but it's been stopped since the developer (synetic) no longer makes games... It had so much potential

Didn't know that Synetic stopped to make games since this year, that's really sad. :| I've always appreciated their games and choices, despite the results weren't of great quality. I've always dreamed a World Racing 3 with their latest realistic graphic engine and lot of different cars and locations, and why not, also to see the Alarm for Cobra 11/Crash Time series finally deeply changed with cut scenes and missions taken from the TV series.
There's surely another game series, mainly racing and driving ones, which I wish to see improved, but now can't remember them.

What are we defining as 'improving'?

Cause I came up with a major improve for the gta series, a whole gta world (why not call it gta vi) that resolves all questions and ties everyone together (after gta III, Joey eventually ends up with CJ in LS; Claude & Maria eventually become high-ranked Yakuza; Woozie's east coast Triad friend replaces the Mafia in LV while the Mafia under Tony replace triads in Liberty; so on and so forth)

Cause the most annoying thing about GTA is this: what happened to Maria in III's end credits? What happened to Claude? Did Joey take lead of the Mafia, or did Tony? Did the Triads eventually buy out the Mafia casino? Did Tommy pass his crime kingdom to an heir? Did the heir retain it or was it split into multiple factions all over again? Did the Azteca's take dominant gang control of Fierro? Did the Triads dominate all of Venturas? Was CJ ever caught for robbing Area 69? Did any of Truth's conspiracy theories ever come true? Who died a 'happy' ending and who died a miserable beggar (or a miserable miser)? Why are there so many unresolved mysteries?

I tried USA Racer modding and I'm figuring out how to convert new cars to the game. Off topic but I heard that Crash Time ended because the publisher that owned the series went Bankrupt and closed but Synetic is still in business. I hope they will get a new Publisher. :)

"Synetic stopped making games from March 31, 2014." -Wikipedia

I guess that it's just a halt because of no publishers like you said, but nobody will want it because the game series has a bad reputation :(

Not in Germany though, the game is popular there.

Ahem, is anyone thinking Midtown Madness 4, anyone? Screw Microbroth, Microscratch, Microcrop, Microcrap- I mean MICROSOFT.

I think that it is possible to get a publisher and developer to get a new Midtown Madness game going for a while, like how Test Drive sort of disappeared for a while until Unlimited came along.

Still, sort of confused no one had thought of Midtown Madness yet.

That would make sense... Angel studios is rockstar now, correct?

And honestly, looking at GTA V, there isn't that much of a difference... Just less racing (which sucks).

But still Midtown Madness 4 would be awesome

Just have it on pc and Xbox 360, not the stupid xbox one :-/

Another series which I would like to see in continuation, and of course improved too, is Project Gotham Racing. Now its owner is Activision (who bought and killed the developer Bizarre Creations...), which isn't being a good thing because it's like abandoned... If they will ever decide to invest some of the millions gained with the Call Of Duty series in the realization of PGR 6, there's a possibility to finally see a chapter of this series on PC platform.
I would also like to see a new FlatOut series game, but there aren't no chances on this (owner is now Strategy First, who bought it from the defunct Empire Games). The historic developer Bugbear Entertainment is now developing a sort of spiritual successor of the latest real FlatOut game, named Ultimate Carnage, temporally called Next Car Game.
I thought about a Midtown Madness 4 developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games.
Only in your dreams. Yeah, Angel Studios is now Rockstar San Diego since when Rockstar bought the studio years ago, but always remember that the owner of the IP (intellectual property), or in the few words the Midtown Madness brand, is Microsoft, that's also who originally created it (as part of the "Madness" branded racing games).

Microsoft is now only caring on its console platform and on the brands which make money, and speaking about racing/driving games, it's only Forza (they made the Horizon spin-off for a different players target, indeed). IMO, only the first Xbox has been their best console, with the best original exclusives (some due to Rare Software) and with a nice characterization (it reminded me of Sega Dreamcast); the next two are only ugly and anonymous commercial copies of the Play Station counterparts with zero personality, and all this is getting worse with the years...
