Hey guys I'm kinda new here and I'm interested in developing my own sort of 'mods' for Midtown Madness 2. I'm a huge fan of the game and have been playing it since I was really little and I just wanna try and see what I can do to make it a little cooler or better haha! Anyway any help is welcome and please don't make fun of me because I'm kinda new at this stuff and just don't know where else to go to get started. Thanks :D

Hello and welcome here. Great to have got interested in making mods for the game, but as the above user asks, which kind of mods would you like to make? Specifically, there are cars and tracks, which are add-ons for the game, and various kind of mods like to change a lot of features of the game. Concerning cars making, you can start to check the tutorial sand the templates available here.

Thanks for the replies and the link guys, I really appreciate it. To answer the question on what kind of mods I would like to make, I'd say that I think I should start small because I'm still new to this stuff so I'll probably start out with cars (E.g. adding new functions and changing their features). If it's not too difficult I may even try my hand at making a small custom track. Anyway, thanks again for the replies you guys have given me such a warm welcome and I really appreciate it :)

No prob! :D

Likely the smallest you can get is modding the default car tunings, and next smallest is new paint jobs.
Conversion is fairly easy as well, depending on what you're trying to convert. But that's basically the extent of my knowledge  .

You may also try to make your own cars, here's an excellent tutorial for it.:) And don't give up if something you make does not act as expected, and don't hesitate to dream high. :P

Thanks a lot man! That tutorial looks really helpful and you've just pointed me in the right direction to start off in a field I have close to zero knowledge in. Thanks for the encouragement, it really means a lot. Cheers! :)
