Tutorial after installing MM2 on Win 8/8.1

The previous one was failed, ending up screwing my PC. It's not that the DWM's fault, it might the DirectX fault. Sorry for your damages to do it in my old tutorial, but of course I'm not responsible for it.

So, let's get started.

1.) Of course, install Midtown Madness 2 (duh). After you install, don't run it yet.

2.) If you using Windows 8.1, download the KB2908279 update on the Microsoft Download Center:

Windows 8.1 64-bit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=40909

If you enable automatic updates or install all updates manually on Windows Update, then you don't need to install this hotfix.

3.) Run regedit (Registry Editor), if asked by UAC popup, click Yes.

4.) Browse in the registry to reach that following address...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags

I dont have problems with mm2 on windows 8.1. Only with mm1.
The game is running very slow if I use hardware renderer.
Please help!

Should this work on Windows 10 as well, assuming I have all the latest updates installed? I've done the Wine thing before to no avail...
