I've heard rumors about mm4, is this true? If it is i'm really excitied for it

There's nothing called MM4. There are only 3 MMs, MM1, MM2 and MM3. And MM3 is not like the 2 old MMs. (I have seen videos of it). It is more like Driver SanFransisco. So, if there will be an MM4; it will be stupid like MM3 only.

Midtown Madness 3 wasn't stupid.

The game just evolved. It's like comparing the first 2D, top down view GTA titles with the 3D and HD universes titles. Things just evolved and took a slightly different concept, that people might or might not like over the previous one.

I agree I preferred if it wasn't an exclusive to the Xbox, and the fact it was developed by a different studio also changes the whole thing since there's different people working on it on their own different way, but it's your typical early 2000's open world racing game; not the best one, it's actually quite average, but far from being stupid.

Answering to the OP (original poster, me bringing stuff from GTA Forums), probably the rumors you've heard was the little prank me and Aaro4130 made 2 years ago on April 1st, here and on the Facebook group. If not, could you provide some more info about them? I really doubt Microsoft (or anybody on a professional way) investing on another sequel for this almost 2 decades old franchise.

There is no MM4, Midtown Madness ends in MM3 from Xbox only, at least MM2 is the one which is famous here.

- I never played MM3, it seems to be a cool game with unique physics.
- MM2 has a simple but nice story and it has physics between realistic and unrealistic. (Some cars seems to have more realism, also, damage is unrealistic, unlike MM1.)
- MM1 doesn't have story, just race, at least this has unique physics too!

I remember that many years ago I got to read some sort of rumors about a Midtown Madness 4, with some possible vehicles and cities, but probably those were only suppositions done by the website where I read that... It was never officially announced, as it's obviously known.

There was never MM4, there was a petition to make it but there are no plans to make that game. Microsoft has better selling games today and nobody would be interested in it anyway. You can always play Midnight Club games, they are made by same people that made MM1/2 .

That makes sense. The last title (mm3) was released in, like, 2003.
And, it would not be the same because it would have all these new features, and, like Seahawk said, be like mm3 which wasn't really as good compared to mm2 and mm1.

Microsoft did a great job of killing off the Midtown Madness series. If only they didn't rush Angel Studios, they could've double their profits and still have had a great game series.

But nope! They flushed any chances they had down the toilet after MM2. If there would ever be an MM4, it would probably be a "spiritual successor" made by people who loved the MM series games.

Well, there's always Most Wanted '12 . Only its not moddable yet.
