On my computer, the patch works but I have tried the patch from this link
and on some computers with windows 8 or 10 the patch doesnt work. When I start the game I get a message which says: Midtown Madness 2 requires dx7 or above. I dont know why.
I have even tried dgvoodoo and the game doesnt start and I get the same message.
Please help!

So, there's no way to let MM2 work on your PC with Windows 8 or 10? At this time, I'd suggest you to use a virtual machine with Windows 7 (or even XP) that allows to use your graphic card, so to properly run and play the game on it.

I wonder why the patch works on my pc if it doesnt work on my fathers computer. Both computers have windows 10. Whats the difference?

Well, I assume that the hardware and the relative drivers of both are very different, it's not only a matter of the OS... What's the graphic card of both your and your father PCs?

The pc which the patch works have GeForce GTX 560.
The pc which the patch doesnt works have AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series.

Just because you get that message, have you tried to install the DirectX from the installer present in the game disc? Or, if that doesn't work, try to download and install this.

I try your directX solution but anyone work. DirectX from CD don't work on W10 and, by your link, directX9 work only on previous version of Windows.

I know. Install DirectX from the game cd doesnt work.
The fix from this link works
on windows 8 and 10 but only with intel and nvidia and geforce videocards.
I search for a fix for amd and ati cards.
Please help!

That patch link is the old method. Please reinstall Midtown Madness 2, or remove the patch files.
