What has happened to MMArchive forums?
Just now MMArchive is up. Before it was showing 404 error. But the forums still show 404 error. Is there any danger to all the old downloads available there since the site is dying?

No. There was an issue with the forums that required them to be removed from the website.

We were running an old version of phpBB that was vulnerable to spambots. Some group of spambots targeted our forums--even after we disabled new user registration--and just kept pounding the website with page requests in a way that was causing severe problems to the server the site was being hosted on.
Hosting company deactivated the domain saying we couldn't go back online unless the forums were removed so the bots wouldn't kill their server... I complied. Maybe some other day I'll look at an anti-spambot solution to bring those forums back online, but doubtful, they weren't that popular to begin with--it always was the downloads that attracted all the attention.
There's no danger to MMArchive going offline--I just renewed the hosting service in 2015, extending it til 2018. Now that I'm a real adult with a real job I can't put much time into the website, but will happily fork over a small amount of cash to keep it afloat.

Tbh (no offense intended, and great to see you around, I don't think I ever had the opportunity cross paths with you) I don't think MMA forums worth that much the work, after all the few important content is also here in the forums since most copied the same subjects in both places. Having all the great exclusive mods avaliable there is the priority, imo.
