Different Police cars

Postby matt1314 » Sat Nov 01, 2008 1:54 pm

Hi everyone.

I have another question: Is it possible, to make different cop cars, so make different entries in the roam.aimap and the roam.aimap_p file? If yes, how can I do this?

Thanks. :D

Yes. In the roam.aimap, and roam.aimap_p just rename "vpcop" to any other car base name, and save the file.
Here's a list of the default cars.

vp4x4 - LTV
vpauditt - Audi TT
vpbug - VW New Beetle
vpbullet - Ford Mustang Fastback
vpbus - City Bus
vpcab - London Cab
vpcaddie - Cadillac Eldorado
vpcentury - Freightliner Century
VPCOOP - Mini Cooper Classic
vpcoop2 - New Mini Cooper
vpcop - Mustang Cruiser
vpdb7 - Austin Martin DB7 Vantage
vpddbus - Double-Decker bus
vpdune - New Beetle dune
vpford - Ford F-350
vpmustang99 - Ford Mustang GT
vppanoz - Panoz Roadster
vppanozgt - Panoz GTR-1
vpsemi - American Lafrance Fire Truck
vpvwcup - VW New Beetle RSI

When you go in game you should see the changes. :)

Yes, I know that. But each two files are in two folders, "sf and "london". And they are in the folder "race". Where do I have to place it?

You can also add new police car like this
vpauditt -639.021851 0.402100 -779.466797 0.000000 0 15 0.500000 50.000000

But where to place the "race" folder? Do I have to compress it with WinRAR, call it *.ar and place it in my main MM2 directory?

OK, thank you, guys. I thought before, that it could be possible, I just made sure by asking here. Because I thought about CopGen on MMArchive before. And there it's possible, so it's possible, when I do it on my own. :)

This is an easy operation to do, but stangely make a mod like that using the the CopGen service of MMArchive website will make the game crash.
Use the NotePad is the best way, because you can replace the cop car with any other car in the game folder.
But where to place the "race" folder? Do I have to compress it with WinRAR, call it *.ar and place it in my main MM2 directory?
Yes, any folder used by the game (Aud, Bound, Geometry, etc.) must be archived in a .ar file to be used by the game.
