Was NFS Prostreet good?
Or was it one of those games that's in the Recycle Bin?

Was NFS Prostreet good?
Hey everybody, was NFS Prostreet crap? I have it, and it is really good, but kind of "ho-hum". The name doesn't make sense. Dosen't prostreet mean a race car for the street? Or does it mean you agree with racing on the street, even though this is a game with racetracks such as Infineon Raceway and Portland Raceway? It's confusing. Is this gold, or just plastic pirate coins you buy at a bargain mart??
Its ok but not great. If you look at Forza Horizon, they're very similar, except Prostreet doesnt have free roam. I think Prostreet means King of the Streets, or something like that. However when it comes to Drag Racing, Prostreet is where its at, doing wheelies and stuff, IMO.

Not that awesome. It doesn't work with low end graphic cards, and is laggy much. It's best to play on Play Station 2 for me.

I think it was good for the time, although nowadays it doesnt really compare to similar games, such as Forza Horizon, NFS:Shift, and Shift 2, and even GRID and GRID 2, i think the physics couldve been more realistic and the car selection is also quite lackluster, and also the whole ryo wantanabe thing was a little bit silly and cliched.

Kinda agree with Chris. I've enjoyed enough this game when it came out completing it. It was good for its time, not a great title, just a good one. Nowadays it shows all its age but can still be fun to play.
The name "ProStreet" should recall the fact that the kind of races in it is the legal version of the street racing, made for professional drivers.

I like ProStreet because of its split-screen 2 player mode. I've only played it on PS2 so don't know how it behaves on PC. The bad thing is that it does not have cops.

I do have this game, people. I totally regret the soundtrack, because the songs "Wolf Like Me","Draw Japan", and "Bow E3" we're a NIGHTMARE.
Plus, when I use the AutoSculpt on the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner on the bumpers, the body color was different from the fascias, Ex. Body: grey. Fascia: lighter grey.
And once in a while, my Dodge Challenger had 25 inch, purple wheels instead of silver 15 inch wheels.
And on top of that, one time when I was going 200 mph in my Dodge Challenger Concept, I hit a telephone pole, and my car had "light damage". And my damage setting was on HIGH!
Plus, when I got the Drag "King" Mustang, I wanted to make a alternate blueprint, but I could not get the cowl scoop! When you win a car, and keep its original blueprint, it gives you the parts from the other blueprint for free. To make it worse, I couldn't even BUY it. The opponents get this hood, and the tutorial from the first time you use the Garage shows a 1967 Camaro with the same hood I'm talking about! UGH.
Last, the decals. Lets say you want an HKS decal on your 350Z. Since the lazy developers couldn't make a catalog-type selection screen, they decided to make it a big hassle by giving the decals a number. Remember Underground? The decals were given a name! Thanks EA BlackBox or how ever your "POTZERIBIE BOUNCES".
One more thing: Number Decals. The font looks like the font "Papyrus", but gone even worse than it's lookalike.
Oh, and was forced to put a new spoiler on my Escort Cosworth RS. IT'S RUINED! Belive me, that's like replacing a Plymouth Superbird wing with a Fast & Furious style spoiler, that would look more at home on a Eclipse. Or a Supra. Or a Skyline. Or an RX-7. Or Ryo's Evo 10.
