multiplayer problems

hi im kinda new to mm2 so i dont prefer to play online but now i want to play online,im not using LAN(local area network) im using 56k modem,when i play online,i want to join other players,the ''finding for games'' thingy keeps on counting,ive waited more than 15 minutes nothing happened,i know my tcp/ip so now what do i have to do,do i have to download additional programs,do i have to join some websites???

If you have a 56k modem, don't even bother with multiplayer. You'll just slow the game down for everybody else in it.

c'mon man i dont know what modem im using,i have no clue how to know my ''K'',i only asked for help,and you are talking about modems!!.
