A boy walked up to a person and said you look like a jackass and smell like a skunk and he said i don't! but he really did look like a jackass and smell like a skunk And he was a human how can this be?

well, smelling like a skunk and looking like a jackass are just metaphors, implying that he was ugly and smelt bad.
